More info at : www.mass.gov Boom Deployment Each oil spill presents different challenges depending on the type of oil spilled, the location, weather, time of day, the manpower available and the equipment at hand. It is important to plan a practical strategy to protect sensitive resources utilizing the resources available and keeping safety in mind at all times. The effective and timely deployment of the oil spill boom can lessen both cleanup time and money. BP creates environmental disaster and is failing to take lead in cleanup. But our federal government is also failing.

The chief executive of BP, the petroleum firm, will face a grilling over the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, when he meets US government officials in Washington DC on Wednesday. Tony Hayward has been on a charm offensive, saying his company will pay for the massive clean-up operation that’s underway. Rob Reynolds took a flight over the slick, which is still being by fed by the leaking well-head.
