GRAND ISLE, La. - Local Grand Isle-based fishing vessels participating in the vessels of opportunity program moor up to check in at the incident command post dock, Aug. 14, 2010. GRAND ISLE, La. – Local Grand Isle-based fishing vessels participating in the vessels of opportunity program moor up to check in at the incident command post dock, Aug. 14, 2010.

Of the 1,430 response-wide vessels of opportuntiy, approximately 134 vessels ranging from shrimpers to oyster boats are working for the Grand Isle incident command providing platforms for boom, skimming, safety and logistics operations.
