GULF OF MEXICO — Crew members of Coast Guard Cutter Resolute assist the crew of a disabled tug boat taking on water July 17, 2010. The Resolute, home-ported in St. Petersburg, Fla., is in the Gulf of Mexico as part of the Deepwater Horizon response serving as search and rescue guard to help support and protect people and ships involved in the largest oil spill response in history. GULF OF MEXICO – B-roll of the Coast Guard standing search and rescue duty at the site of the Deepwater Horizon Response on Independence Day, 2010. The 210-foot Coast Guard Cutter Resolute is patrolling the area to provide close-in rescue capability, and to provide a platform for media to cover the largest oil spill response in history.
