The US coast guard is searching for 11 missing workers after an oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico. Authorities say a boat carrying over 100 survivors has docked in Louisiana. Several others were airlifted to hospitals, and at least three are in a critical condition. The platform remains ablaze hours after the blast. It’s unclear what caused the explosion.

HOUSTON, May 14 (Bernama) — Transocean, the owner and operator of the Deepwater Horizon rig, that exploded and sank last month in the Gulf of Mexico killing 11 and causing a massive oil leak, on Thursday filed a petition to limit its liability to under US million and asked for all pending cases against the company to be suspended.
