you can make fuel for these same vehicles with plants like corn. oil drilling would be okay if it was 100% safe, but it’s not and it never will be.

  2. spiralmetal says:

    Excellent vid

  3. sndnfry says:

    Excellent vid!

  4. vigwig says:

Cheap oil and convenience trumps the health of life on the planet, duh, yeah that makes sense! Duh duh duh! Wake up people and do the REAL math, no clean water, no functioning biosystems, how much does that cost?

  5. 4u2b1ib12 says:

    armyverteran101st,

There are many alternatives to oil. Henry Ford ran his Model T on hemp methanol, for example. Oil companies invest millions to squash any viable alternative to fossil fuel. Wind, water, and solar energy are viable, but for resistance from owned elected officials.

I have designed machinery that could be used on land, and ‘moving water'(not a dam), and am positive the ideas will work, whine knowing big oil, and its supporters will go all corporatism, on me.

    It be it!

  6. DaHunterKiller says:

A pitty yes. But very sound reasoning.
Dont be afraid to use your real voice, it brings a more human sense of connection to the matter. So long as you do not violate any military association with suggested topic with accordance to law and so forth.

  7. iamsosquid says:

Is it just me, or does EVERYTHING Halliburton touch turn to shit?

  8. jjaagg5050 says:

    Won’t let me post.

@RandomWalkTheory Rock of the Marne!! I disagree with you, but I thank you for your service, and for watching my video. I wouldn’t ban it yet, at least not in the short term. I’d ban it once we have gotten ourselves off of the dependence on oil that we suffer from, and once we have found other reliable sources of energy. That will probably take a much longer time than we’re willing to contemplate, though.

  10. schmumpkin says:

Thanks for this video, and I embarrassingly admit that I didn’t know what “BP” meant all the times that I’d seen it, and I’d only heard it as “BP”, but now I also know its meaning.

Good thoughts here too. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  11. bdf2718 says:

You’re going to get some attacks from idiots, but you’re right.

We need he energy right now. We need alternatives, but we need oil right now to do it. BP are cheap fuckwits and should be taken down.

  12. ThaGenius101 says:

BP should consult with NASA to solve this problem.

  13. justonefirefly1 says:

@GrandMAHatesCoons Franny – BP is just going to pass the cost on to the consumer and all the “oil corporations” are going to go along with it and set prices higher to maintain profit. Put the CEO in Jail – hell he gets paid enough to be responsible and then the next asshole will think twice.

  14. justonefirefly1 says:

Well when the republicans get back in power – they will just do the same as always screw americans and suck the asses of the corporations, deregulate and regurgitate how governement is too big – privitization is needed because they make a profit. Fuck animals, fish and the ocean. Driving your SUVs and corporate jets is a right!!!!! Healthcare for the americans is a privilige.

  15. GrandMAHatesCoons says:

BP is going to have to pay every single person effected by this for the rest of their life and the generations that follow. Thats millions of people in many states. why should millions of people lose everything while bp makes billions. I hope eveyone effected fights this to the death and brings bp to their knees! This is WAR!

  16. GrandMAHatesCoons says:

    @RandomWalkTheory

Exactly! Everything you said os true!

  18. madebutante says:

Remember the movie Who Killed the Electric Car? It showed that a viable alternative was available, but orders were given by GM to kill it. Why? It’s speculated that Big Oil was behind it.

Small sustainable communities could exist around growing and processing Industrial Hemp, which has 25,000 uses including cars, fuel, clothes, houses, shoes, and FOOD!

  19. 3slimdog says:

BP wanted to save money by skipping the safety standards and emergency shut off valves. Now the tax payers are going to pay for BP fuck up. Bush lowered the standard on safety equipment like a 500,000 dollar shut off valve. Look at the cost now of BP so called savings.

  20. dangerouslytalented says:

@armyveteran101st … Not really, it is dangerous to begin with, but can be MADE safe…

Basically, these options are not to be toyed with lightly.

  21. RandomWalkTheory says:

Ban all offshore drilling – humans are too stupid and greedy to do it safely. We didn’t learn from the Great Depression, as evidenced by the recent global financial meltdown. The delicate ecosystem that is being destroyed took millions of years to form and stupid humans are destroying it in a matter of weeks. Humans where already well into the process of destroying the delicate ecosystem where the spill occurred – Gulf Dead Zone anyone?

    Army Veteran – 3rd. Infantry

  22. armyveteran101st says:

@dangerouslytalented Oil drilling and nuclear power production are not dangerous if practiced following safety guidelines. BP didn’t, and that is why we have this catastrophe in our hands now.

  23. dangerouslytalented says:

    Offshore oil drilling is dangerous.

    Nuclear power is dangerous.

It is gross negligence to operate either an oil rig or a nuclear power plant without the necessary safeguards.
