RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina seafood distributors and restaurants say the Gulf oil spill is to blame for an uptick in the price of oysters. The News & Observer of Raleigh reports Friday that wholesalers have increased the cost of oysters by as much as 40 percent.
