Oil-crippled pelicans rehabbed, freed in Texas
Associated Press – June 20, 2010 7:15 PM ET AUSTWELL, Texas (AP) – Federal wildlife crews have released 38 brown pelicans that they rehabilitated from an oil-soaking by the BP spill.

The first two oiled birds found after the Gulf oil spill were cleaned and released in what could be the start of several relocations. The US Fish and Wildlife Service released them Monday at Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge in Florida. (May 10)
